I saw this ad for Concours Grafika in an art magazine today and had to share it. I love the creative use of objects as type and the inclusion of people's hands representing both collaboration and the process of making this piece of typography.

Today Was A Good Day and other Monday Dribbble Huntings
Lots of nice muted, fall colors this week on Dribbble. A trend I think we will see at least through this upcoming spring. I love color trending and its cool to see how this past seasons bright colors are transitioning into muted tones of similar colors. (especially evident in the Limoncello example below)

Subterranean Homesick Blues
I saw this interesting lyrics video on FastCoDesign to Bob Dylan's classic "Subterranean Homesick Blues" today and had to share it. Each line is a different hand lettered text. The variety of styles shown in this short video is simply amazing. Inspired by Bob Dylan's original video (which you should also watch), graphic designer Leandro Senna takes the idea of hand drawn signs to a completely new artistic level. A cool idea I'd love to try someday. What lyrics would you hand draw?

M is for Monday
Love this experimental graphic from Friends of Type's Eric Marinovich. This is my favorite from a series of single letters and numbers that have been posted recently on FoT.
